Life is a journey doesn't mean much until the perspective of 30 years is tacked on. The realization that life is precious and short-lived no matter how long you are here becomes more and more prevalent with each passing day. Life is truly a gift indeed.
No, I'm not sick, nor melancholy; I'm grateful. Grateful for the abundance of second chances and do-overs that every one of us gets every day; whether we are aware of them or not.
It's been a wild ride to say the least. I've been through heartache and heartbreak. Joy and happiness have and still are in the mix too. I lost my brother and best friend. I'm divorced, but the best and only good thing of my marriage is with me; my sons. I have a job that I love to do everyday; I get paid to tell stories with a camera. How cool is that? I have a wonderful woman who loves me and everything is new once again. There are too many things to recount for a mere 8,000 characters, but let's just say this; I see how each of these events, good or bad, has directed, guided and shaped me into who I am and what I am. In a nutshell, I'm blessed.
